What is a Great Deal?

I get this question a lot, and my answer might surprise you! Selling below appraisal? Selling $30,000 less than other homes? Well, that is not a Great deal to me! Let me explain.

A Great Deal Is About The Home Itself

A good deal in real estate is not just about the price. While financial aspects are important, the true value of a home goes beyond the numbers. It's about finding a place that fits your lifestyle and meets your needs. Here are the key factors to consider:

1. Lifestyle Fit

Does this home meet your lifestyle? Think about your daily routine, hobbies, and what you enjoy doing in your free time. If you love outdoor activities, a home near parks or with a great backyard might be ideal. If you work from home, a dedicated office space could be a priority.

2. School District

If you have children or are planning to, the quality of the local school district is crucial. A good school district can provide excellent education opportunities and can also contribute to the home's resale value.

 3.  Convenience to Shopping, Activities, and Work

Consider the home's proximity to shopping centers, restaurants, and entertainment options. Having easy access to these amenities can significantly enhance your quality of life. Additionally, think about your commute to work. A shorter, more convenient commute can save you time and reduce daily stress, improving your overall well-being.

4. Neighborhood and Community

The neighborhood's vibe and community spirit are also essential. Do you feel comfortable and safe in the area? Are there community events and activities that you can participate in? A supportive and friendly community can make a huge difference.

Personal Example: Finding My Perfect Home

Let me share a personal example. When I was looking for my home, I came across several properties that were priced below appraisal value. However, they didn't offer the features I needed. Instead, I chose a home in a great neighborhood with top-rated schools, close to shopping, and with plenty of parks and recreational activities nearby. It was the perfect fit for my lifestyle and worth every penny.

So, the next time you ask, "What is a Great deal?" remember that it's not just about getting a lower price. It's about finding a home that suits your lifestyle, offers convenience, and makes you feel happy and comfortable. That's what makes a good deal truly valuable.
